ST.PETERSBURG | Cyberpolri.id - Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, accompanied President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto in a bilateral meeting with President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg on Thursday (19 June 2025).
The meeting was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, commemorating 75 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Russia. Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership built upon trust and friendship.
President Prabowo emphasised that Russia has long been a vital partner for Indonesia since the early days of independence. President Putin, in turn, underlined Indonesia’s position as one of Russia’s key partners in the Asia-Pacific region and welcomed deeper cooperation in the future.
